Digging

To remodel terrain pick the Shovel button from the bottom menu and dig / create new terrain elements. With the lowering tool selected, click the terrain you want to dig.

You'll gain soil resources after each digging—store them into a storage, use for soil stairs, raise a terrain or make a golem. To raise the terrain, click and select where you want it raised. But don't forget! You must first dig some soil you will use to create the rise. You can also mark any soil and lower it by the button in the right panel.

Create natural soil stairs from the dug soil by using the building option in your menu. Same as with creating a rise, you need to dig the terrain you will use as material to build the stairs. Or, if you can dig at the spot, you can build soil stairs straight by using the right panel button without the need of extra soil.

Typically you will start your game by getting to the water to be able to grow vegetation, gain water for your characters, and cook.
