Irrigation is crucial for prosperous agriculture and therefore whole base.

You can irrigate directly using real-time water physics thanks to which the moisture spreads from a water source through the ground

  • Dig a simple channel that will bring water directly to your fields
  • Build a system of Pipes and deliver water through taps
  • Water your fields by a Sprinkler

Here are a couple of rules for how water (and also other liquids) work in the pipes:

  • Water needs pressure to flow through pipes, sprinklers, or taps
  • The pressure is created by pumps and also objects that show water height in the object info window
  • The number of the height tells what maximum height can be water distributed by this object
  • For example Deep Water Pump shows a heigh 31 which means that water can be pushed up to 31 tiles above
  • The length of just a pipe network (without any objects like containers, taps, or sprinklers) at the same level doesn't affect the amount of pressure needed or the speed of distribution
  • Flow pump helps to make the pressure higher
  • If you have a Deep water pump with a height 31 linearly connected to pipes, the water can be pushed up to 31 tiles above
  • But if you put into such a linear network any other object than a pipe it would reset the pressure made by the pump and have the new pressure of this precise object
  • Then you need to build the Flow pump at the output of such object to make the pressure higher again if necessary
