This is the basic and probably the first factory you build. It has one simple function – allow you to process wood into planks. If you check what material you need for most of the buildings, you'll find that it's planks.
As soon as you build the basic production line and buildings that fulfill needs of your characters, don't hesitate and replace the Manual Sawing Station with Mechanical Saw.
