Martian Monoliths appear on a map if you choose playing with Martians on Earth. The Monoliths spread Martian Vegetation and spawn Martian Monsters.
You can shoot the Monoliths down with Anti UFO laser cannon or you can ask Martian Masters in UFO to remove Monoliths from the map.
