A UFO appears if you activate Martians on Earth game mode. Martian Masters in the UFO steal the last cow on Earth at the beginning and then demand a ransom to be delivered to their portal.
Ransom demands start in two ways: if you produce iron ingots or after 35 days.
You can shoot down the UFO with the Anti UFO Laser Cannon if you prefer a less diplomatic way of dealing with things.
